LEAVE A LEGACY® CONNECTICUT is a statewide public awareness effort to promote charitable giving through wills and estate plans. We encourage people from all walks of life to have a will and consider leaving a bequest to charity.  We support nonprofit organizations and professional advisors as they educate their constituents and clients on the importance of leaving a legacy.  We build new relationships among nonprofits, advisors and volunteer leaders to work together for the common good, and we provide them with information to facilitate the process.
We need your organization and Board of Directors’ support and endorsement to promote the LEAVE A LEGACY® CONNECTICUT initiative.  Please help us by participating in at least two of the following ways: (Please check the ways you will participate.)

Utilize the outline and materials provided and make a presentation to our staff, Board and members about LEAVE A LEGACY® CONNECTICUT.

Publish the LEAVE A  LEGACY® CONNECTICUT news article in our organizational newsletter.

Reproduce the LEAVE A LEGACY logo slick in our publications.

Distribute LEAVE A LEGACY campaign cards to our constituencies in person or through mailing.

  1. Develop an organizational policy regarding acceptance of bequests.
  2. Speak to a group of clients or potential donors about charitable giving.
