About Us
LEAVE A LEGACY®
is a public awareness campaign to
encourage people to leave
something in their wills to
support causes about which they care.
It supports nonprofit
organizations and professional
advisors as they educate their
constituents and clients on the
importance of leaving a will and
considering a gift to charity.
The
Planned Giving Group of
Connecticut is the central point
of communication for statewide
LEAVE A LEGACY activities. Each
of the seven LEAVE A LEGACY
regions has its own co-chairs,
committees and budgets. The
campaign, which culminates in
June with the Governor
proclaiming LEAVE A LEGACY
CONNECTICUT month, is co-chaired
by Lyn G. Walker, a partner with
the law firm of Shipman and
Goodwin, LLP, and a member of
the American College of Trust
and Estate Counsel, and Jennifer
A. King, VP, Masonic Charity
Foundation. Business and
community leaders including
legal and financial advisors
serve on the LEAVE A LEGACY
CONNECTICUT committees.
