Ferdinand
Hartog, Jr.,
recently
announced
his greatest
gift of all.
He is making
a
seven-figure
gift to The
Masonic
Charity
Foundation
of
Connecticut
to name the
future
Activities
Center at
Ashlar
Village,
Masonicare’s
retirement
community in
Wallingford,
CT. The
Hartog
Activities
Center will
be at the
heart of
resident
life,
housing a
400-seat
auditorium,
fitness
center,
activity
rooms,
convenience
store, bank,
hair salon,
billiard
hall, and
other common
areas.
Ferd’s
wonderful
gift was
inspired by
his
gratitude to
Masonicare
for the care
its
Connecticut
VNA provided
to his late
wife Dorothy
and for the
comfortable
and secure
home he has
since found
at Ashlar
Village. At
age 93, Ferd
is proud
that his
wonderful
gift naming
will be his
legacy, and
sums it up
in a few
simple
words: “The
Activities
Center will
be important
to a lot of
people, and
I’ll be glad
to have the
Hartog name
on it.” The
Masonic
Charity
Foundation
of
Connecticut
extends its
